About me

Hi, I'm Dr. Stephanie
A. Moore

Hey there—I’m Dr. Stephanie Moore, by day, I’m a cardiologist in clinic and ICU units who thrives on solving tough problems for patients with advanced heart disease and building successful cardiac teams. Over the years, I’ve embraced data driven decision making for best outcomes for hospital programs and utilizing evidence based medicine to build strong cardiology services lines. After 25 years experience, it’s my turn to pay it forward to folks and help join the fight to prevent health decline through everyday principles for everyday people.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me traveling the US with my friends and family, cheering on hockey teams, or honing my gardening skills. Life’s too short not smell the peonies (my favorite flower).

My Professional Bio

Dr. Stephanie A. Moore is a triple board-certified cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support. With over two decades of experience at leading academic institutions such as Massachusetts General Hospital and Intermountain Healthcare, she has dedicated her career to caring for patients with complex heart conditions while emphasizing that preventive medicine and overall wellbeing are foundational to lifelong cardiovascular health.

Dr. Moore believes that preventing heart disease progression—and empowering patients to thrive through healthy lifestyle choices—is as critical as treating advanced stages of illness. She integrates evidence-based prevention strategies into every patient encounter, focusing on nutrition, physical activity, stress management, smoking cessation, and comprehensive risk factor control. This proactive approach is especially vital for patients with early-stage heart failure, post-transplant recipients, and those at high risk due to comorbidities.

Her commitment to wellbeing extends beyond the clinic: she has championed community education on heart health, led initiatives to combat food insecurity and promote dietary wellness among Veterans, and has been a longstanding advocate with the American Heart Association to raise awareness about women’s heart health and preventive care.

With her experience, she been a sought after consultant since 2017 for both Cardiovascular and Advanced Heart Failure Programs who desire to build or expand their service line to become regional or even national centers of excellence. She is very focused on helping teams provide quality care for complex patients with fiscal responsibility for the enterprise. Every health care system is unique and each project has different paths to excellence.

Currently serving as Medical Director of the Heart Transplant Program at Jewish Hospital (University of Louisville) and as a physician at both the Louisville Robley Rex VA Healthcare administration and VA Boston Healthcare System, Dr. Moore brings a holistic, patient-centered philosophy to her practice—treating the whole person, not just the disease.
