Dr. Stephanie Moore, MD, FACC, FACP, is a leading cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support. She serves as Medical Director of the Advanced Heart Failure Therapies Program and Heart Transplant Program at UofL Health – Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, and as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Moore excels in managing complex stage C and D heart failure, leading multidisciplinary teams in LVADs, Impella support, cardiogenic shock, and telemonitoring. Previously at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, she was Assistant Professor and Program Director for the Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Fellowship, earning multiple Partners in Excellence Awards.
A quality improvement leader, she reduced heart failure readmissions by 50% through home monitoring as Medical Director of Partners Connected Health Care. Nationally, she has chaired committees for the International Society for Heart & Lung Transplantation and contributed to the Heart Failure Society of America and American Heart Association.
Dr. Moore is an award-winning educator (Brian A. McGovern Memorial Teaching Award, Heart of Our Mission Award), author of over 30 peer-reviewed publications, and a passionate advocate for heart health prevention via media, an upcoming book, podcast, and YouTube channel.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology, her motto is: “When treating heart disease, failure is not an option.”
